OUR MISSION
At rightMEDlabel we focus on assisting hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers with the patented, compliant medication labeling solution that meets or exceeds standards set by the USP, Joint Commission and AORN, to help eliminate the improper dispensing of medication caused by non-compliant labeling. The rightMEDlabel solution additionally significantly reduces both direct and indirect costs when compared to traditional methods.
We judge ourselves

to improving national health care.
HOW IT WORKS

Verify
A circulating nurse and scrub person work together to verify label information and medication.

Remove
The circulating nurse removes the sealed pouch containing the rightMEDlabels.

Transfer
The triplicate, pre-printed compliant sterile labels are presented to the scrub person using aseptic technique.

Apply
The medication transfer procedure is completed with compliant sterile medication labeling throughout each step.

The operating room is a fast paced, precise environment. It’s no time to wonder about the accuracy
of the labeling on the medication.

In the preoperative setting, human errors in the medication labeling can have dire consequences.
The U.S. Pharmacopoeia (USP) determined that in a four-year period, 20.6% of operating room medication errors occurred because of unauthorized or wrong drug use1, with many of the events resulting in harm to the patient. Soon after, USP gave the prescription to improve the medication labeling:
“As soon as commercially available, hospitals should obtain as many products in sterile, ready-to-use packaging as soon as possible. 2” – The U.S. Pharmacopoeia
Reduction in Medication Errors.
rightMEDlabels safeguard against medication errors that could result in millions of dollars in litigation fees for your facility. Even one medication error can damage your reputation and adversely impact your bottom line for years to come.
The rightMEDlabel system is a common-sense solution that reduces opportunities for errors in labeling in the sterile field. The rightMEDlabel system contains triplicate, fan-folded sterile labels pre-printed with all medication information required to be compliant with USP, The Joint Commission (TJC) and Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), attached to original medication vials and other containers in a sterilized peel pouch for immediate use in the sterile field.
